By Staff Report | November 12, 2019
Category:It’s almost December, and you may need to scratch a couple of things off your 2019 to-do list. If welding is one of them, we’ve got you covered!
Show 2019 who’s boss and become a better welder at the FMA Metal Fabrication Lab at Harper College this December! The one-day workshop will let you learn and practice skills across four different types of welding:
- Oxy-fuel welding
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG)
Up-close demonstrations and hands-on exercises will enable you to visualize and practice the basic concepts. The workshop will be led by Harper faculty Kurt Billsten and Scott Nelson.
The workshop is recommended for:
- Engineers looking for cross-training and hands-on welding practice
- Office personnel who would like a refresher (or introduction) on welding processes
- Educators looking to brush up on their instruction skills
The Hands-on Workshop: Welding for Fabricators is taking place Friday, December 6, at Harper College in Palatine (Chicago), Illinois. The member rate is $195. If you’re faculty at an FMA Certified Education Center, the rate is only $97.50.
Here’s to finishing what’s left on your list for the year and enhancing your welding skills for the new year.
