New Members Join FMA Board of Directors

The FMA board of Directors held their fall meeting in October at FMA headquarters in Elgin (Chicago), Ill. During the meeting, the chairman’s gavel passed from Vivek Gupta, president of Texas ProFab Corp. in Carrolton, Texas, to Lyle Menke, CSO at Peddinghaus Corp. in Bradley, Ill. Lyle began his first term on the FMA board in 2011.

NEWLY ELECTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Rob Bohn Jr.
President, Nema Enclosures, Houston

Rob purchased Nema Enclosures in 2000 and has grown the business to more than $10 million in revenue with 80 employees. Nema is a made-to-order electrical enclosure manufacturer that specializes in low-volume, highly complex enclosures for a variety of applications that require third-party certification. In a typical month Nema Enclosures’ website has 25,000 visitors, and has generated more than $600,000 in e-commerce orders.

Jay Phillips
Plate Processing Manager, Valley Iron Fabrication, Fresno, Calif.

When Jay began college at Fresno State he started to work part-time at Valley Iron, a business established in 1958 that has grown to be one of the largest independent family-owned metal service centers in northern and central California. Valley Iron offers a diverse inventory and has the capability to process flat-rolled products in carbon, stainless, and aluminum.

Sarah Richards
President/CEO/Board Chair, Jones Metal Inc., Mankato, Minn.

Jones Metal is a family-owned business founded by Sarah’s grandmother and now owned by Sarah and two other members of the third generation. Before joining the company in 2008, Sarah was a golf pro and played on the Futures Tour. She still maintains her PGA professional status.

Lori Tapani
Co-president, Wyoming Machine Inc., Stacy, Minn.

Lori left a career in finance and banking in 1994 to join her sister Traci to become the second-generation owners of Wyoming Machine, founded by their father in 1974. The company is a precision metal fabrication job shop that provides components for OEMs in a variety of industries, including computer/electronics, aerospace, navigation/instrumentation, and defense.

Lisa Wertzbaugher
Sales Manager and National Accounts, Superior Tube Products, Davenport, Iowa

Lisa leads the sales and marketing strategy for Superior Tube Products and manages all national accounts. She also manages IT, human resources, estimating, and sits on the board of directors. Superior Tube Products is a contract manufacturer that specializes in supplying fabricated metal tube parts and assemblies to large and small OEMs.  It and was started by Lisa’s parents in 1991.

ELECTED TO A SECOND TERM

Jim Rogowski
Vice President of Technical Services, TRUMPF Inc., Farmington, Conn.

James joined TRUMPF in 1998. Since then he has held various positions including product manager, managing director of TRUMPF Canada, and director of machine and power tool sales. Currently serving as vice president, technical services, James is responsible for customer service and training for TRUMPF machine tools installed across the U.S.
