Officers Elected to Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association

ROCKFORD, Ill., Nov. 20, 2014 – Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT), the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA), elected a new slate of officers at its recent meeting.

Rory DeJohn, senior vice president, Turner Construction, Branford, Conn. was elected chair; David Brown, president, Affiliations Unlimited, Inc., Irvine, Calif. was elected vice chair; and Warren Long, defense commodity manager, NPG, Oshkosh Corporation, Oshkosh, Wis. was elected secretary/treasurer. Newly elected officers will serve one-year terms.

Elected to the NBT Board for two year terms were R. Bruce Benedict, CEO, Production Tube Cutting, Inc., Dayton, Ohio; Mike Cattelino, associate dean – manufacturing and agriculture technologies, Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, Wis.; and David Pettigrew, general manager, All Metals Service & Warehousing, Inc., Cartersville, Ga.

Grants from NBT provide seed funding for community and technical college organizers offering summer manufacturing camps designed to inspire junior high and high school students to consider careers in manufacturing, and provide scholarships to help community/technical college and trade school students studying to prepare for careers in manufacturing.
