Volunteer on a Council

FMA is always seeking volunteer leaders like you — with a finger on the pulse of the industry.

Council members will:

Typically serve two-year terms.
Meet regularly with association staff (usually via one-hour teleconference, approximately every 4-6 weeks) for the purpose of developing educational activities and promoting involvement.
Have a general understanding of how the association functions and particular knowledge in elected area.
Contribute ideas and contacts for FMA staff to execute.

Once the following data form is completed and submitted the council will review candidate’s qualifications and vote to recommend adding the person to the council.

I will regularly attend council meetings and contribute content and contacts to fulfill programs.
I understand that I must maintain an active FMA membership, either personal or company (by location), while I serve on the council.
I understand that FMA does not cover the travel expenses of council members.
I will abide by the 'Conflict of Interest' statement (disclose events competitive to council events; non-commercial presentations at council events) within the 'Council Guidelines'.
