Speakers Selected and Registration Opened for North America’s Largest Tube & Pipe Conference

Twenty-four session speakers have been selected for Pipe & Tube Charlotte 2016: Racing to the future with best practices and new technologies. The complete lineup is posted on the conference website. In addition registration is officially opened and can be completed online.

This installment of the popular conference series will be Sept. 20-22 in Charlotte, N.C., and features innovative technical and operational sessions such as “Improving Pipe Shop Productivity through Correct Data Extraction & Simulation,” “Mechanically Formed Outlets in Schedule 40 Pipe,” and “Tube Fabrication Operational Improvement by Usage of Coiled Tubing in a Straighten to Cut Process Application.”

Conference Chair Phil Meinczinger of Magnetic Analysis Corp. said, “We have an excellent lineup of 24 presentations this year that will not only impart valuable knowledge on implementing new technologies to our attendees, but will spark an interest for them to take action to make changes that will lead to increased business output and outcomes.”

Along with an industry-focused keynote, an informative tube and pipe market overview from Preston Publishing Company, and tabletop exhibits, there will be multiple networking events to facilitate industry connections and increased business opportunities. One such event is an exclusive tour and networking lunch at Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), which will allow attendees to get an inside view of what goes into the production of NASCAR vehicles, maintaining them, and getting them to and from the races. JGR is home to four Sprint Cup teams, three Xfinity teams, three motocross teams, and more than 540 employees. The tour will feature 75 cars in different stages of completion.

Pipe & Tube Networking

This conference series began in 2007 as a collaboration between the Tube & Pipe Association, International® (TPA) and the International Tube Association (ITA) to bring together all segments of the tube and pipe market together for a comprehensive program. The full conference focuses on technical presentations and happens every two years. In 2015, the TPA introduced a tour and roundtable based version which happens in the odd years and will be in the Chicago area for 2017.

This year, the TPA is again collaborating with ITA, and has joined forces with media partners American Metal Market, The Tube & Pipe Journal®, and Tube & Pipe Technology Magazine to present a must-attend event for those in the industry.
